Life is full of ups and downs and how we perceive, cope, and change impacts our well-being and quality of life. It is all too easy to become stuck, to feel overwhelmed about a situation and spiral into pain and negativity. That not only affects us, but the people in our lives.
It is always best to be proactive in resolving those challenges and it’s never too late to turn things around. That is where counseling comes into play. We can work together to process what you are experiencing, put new skills in place, and come up with a plan to move forward.
Whether it is anxiety, compulsions, depression, work, relationships, substance use, or some other issue, once you make that decision, there is no limit to what you can achieve. You are not here by mistake. Choose the modality that resonates with you and let’s get started.
Email Counseling
Email exchanges provide you with the opportunity to take your time, reflect, and put your thoughts and emotions down in written form. It also serves as an ongoing journal. Sometimes the lack of interaction one has with audio or video makes it easier to open up and process.
Audio Counseling
Audio/phone counseling is convenient and can be done anywhere you have a degree of privacy. It splits the difference between email and video, as you have kinetic processing, but you don't have the face to face contact.
Video Counseling
Video counseling is the closest approximation to in-person or face to face counseling. It is a dynamic process in real time, and you have the full range of facial cues. Like phone counseling, it provides more immediate feedback.
Email exchanges are not limited in terms of written material, while audio and video sessions are 50 to 60 minutes in length. I currently provide counseling for residents of Georgia, South Carolina, Florida, and some international locations.
